Anne Celeste Heche was an American actor who is known for her performances across a range of categories in the film and television the theater. Her birth name is Anne Kathleen Maloney on September 6, 1953. Her most well-known role is Lieutenant Sheba in the Battlestar Galactica TV series from 1978-1979. Lockhart is the grandchild and daughter of actors Gene Lockhart, as well as the actress June Lockhart. Her career began in a young age. When she was just four, Lockhart appeared in the film T is for Tumbleweed. It was nominated for an Academy Award for this short film. She spent time with her mother on the location where she was taught about the inner workings of the business. Lockhart appeared in many seasons of Lassie. Dora in Jory in 1973 was her first film. The Sixth Sense was a television show that aired in 1972. At the age of 18 years old, she portrayed Joan Crawford, Joan's daughter. The show was Joan's final acting appearance. Anne was reported to have turned down Laurie Strode (John Carpenter's 1978 Halloween horror) and Jaime Lee Curtis took the character. Carpenter says that the actress rejected his proposal to play Laurie Strode. Anne can't recall John Carpenter having contacted her nor offering the role. There is a chance that her agent rejected the offer on her behalf without telling the actress. She was initially chosen for the part by Glen Larson who sent her an initial script for a role in the 1978 television series Battlestar Galactica. She initially rejected the role since the character did not seem robust. Glen was later able to write a character for her that featured an extremely strong character named Sheba. The Living Legend's first 25-page script was read by Sheba and she was immediately in agreement. The show lasted only one episode. She appeared in Joyride (1977), a film that she co-starred in and acted in with Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith, Robert Carradine.
