Salma Hayek
Salma Hayek Pinault, born Salma Valgarma Jamesenez on September 2, 1966, is an American and Mexican actress and producer. Her career started in Mexico where she played in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991), and the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) that resulted in an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) were just a few of her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002), which she also co-produced, made her the first Mexican actress to be nominated to the Academy Award for Best Actress[6] and additionally earned her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. The following years, Hayek focused more on making films, while also starring in action-oriented films such as Once Upon a Time in Mexico
